FIRE ALARM SHOP DRAWING REQUIREMENTSFire alarm shop drawings that are submitted to the Omaha Fire Department, Fire Prevention & Education Bureau for review shall include the following: 1.     Drawings shall be on uniform size sheets. 2.     Drawings shall be drawn to an indicated scale. 3.     All spaces shall be labeled as to use. Room numbers are not acceptable. 4.     A symbols key shall be provided (Use of NFPA 170 symbols is recommended). 5.     The title block shall include the name of the owner and occupant, a street address of the installation location and city. 6.     Point of the compass. For building orientation. 7.     Make, type and model of all equipment. 8.     Location of fire alarm control panel. 9.     Location of other fire alarm control equipment such as additional power supplies, etc. 10.    Building occupancy type (health care, mercantile, business, etc.) 11.   Number of circuits. 12.   Type of circuits. 13.   Number of zones. 14.   Equipment controlled or monitored by the fire alarm system. 15.   Candela rating of each strobe shall be indicated by symbol or rating listed by each strobe. 16.   Battery calculations showing the required battery size. 17.   Voltage drop calculations showing what wire size is needed. 18.   Wire types and sizes for each circuit shall be indicated. 19.   Circuits shall be designated by class, style or both. 20.   No more than FIVE (5) sets of plans and specifications may be submitted. A minimum of TWO (2) sets is required. Up to four will         be returned (see 21.) 21. Those wishing to have stamped set of plans and specifications returned must provide sufficient return postage affixed to        self-addressed return packaging. Those arriving without will not be returned.  NFPA 72 2002 ed. 4.3.3 System Installer Requirements Installation personnel shall be supervised by persons who are qualified and experienced in the installation and, inspection, and testing of fire alarm systems. Examples of qualified personnel shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
